This unit provides a broad underpinning knowledge of the structure and functions of body systems - nervous, endocrine, reproductive and urinary.
Learners will gain an overview of the organisation of the human body, how the healthy human body functions and will begin to look at common pathologies associated with each system.
This is a core unit which provides a basis for looking at diseases, pathology and detrimental conditions in body systems in more detail as well as the range of interventions available.
This unit is assessed by a multiple choice exam made up of 40 questions, lasting 40 minutes. Passing it will gain you 8 credits.
